FALL FISHING FRENZY

After a less than stellar summer most likely due to the high Mississippi River,

the fishing in Plaquemines Parish has made quite the comeback. October is generally known for it’s great fishing, but this year it seems to be making up for lost time. Customers and guides alike are all enjoying the easy catch including trout, redfish, cobia, triple tail and more.

Red snapper season also remains open on weekends throughout the end of this month. According to Captain Sal Gagliano, “the fishing should get better the cooler temperatures get.”

So head on over to our new Charter Guide page and call one of them to book your next trip! It’s also not too early to book a trip for next year or get on a waiting list for any last-minute October cancellations.

With the extension of snapper season, we’ve restocked our bait and tackle to ensure you can grab all your fishing essentials in one place. In addition to our live shrimp we also occasionally have minnows available. If you’re hoping to get some, call us at (504) 657-5116 to see if we have any available.

Our fall lodging special mentioned in our last blog is still ongoing. If you’re considering a trip to Empire, call us ASAP as our cabins have been going fast since our price drop! We offer weekly and monthly deals as well.

We are close to completing our new suites. Once they’re completed and furnished we will be sure to update.

We look forward to seeing you!
